Vandenberg Dunes, California
The proposed golf resort on Vandenberg Space Force Base was planned by The Larkin Group and acclaimed golf course developer Mike Keiser, whose built some of the top golf destinations in the world. The Vandenberg Dunes project has been put on inactive status because the Air Force cannot provide sufficient groundwater. The Larkin Group is developing other sources of water that will support Vandenberg Space Force Base itself, and projects like this, without competing with the community for groundwater.
Vineyard Dunes Ranch, California
Vineyard Dunes Ranch will break new ground by combining organically managed golf courses and vineyards in Santa Barbara County Wine Country. Set in the beautiful mountains of the Lompoc Valley, this golf, wine, and equestrian destination will be the perfect getaway to play a round, taste the grapes of the esteemed Santa Rita Hills AVA, and even see a space launch. This world-class golf destination will be open to the public. We are currently awaiting the outcome of the proposed Master Recreation Plan from the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors.
Vineyard Golf Club on Martha’s Vineyard off the coast of Massachusetts
Cape Canaveral, Florida
Renuart & Larkin worked with Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS) and Port Canaveral to maximize the efficiency of these two vital properties on Florida’s east coast. The Air Force was looking for new, innovative ways to keep their facilities up-to-date and technologically secure. R&L brought together a team of rail and military development specialists to reposition this asset, benefitting the Air Force, the Navy, and the Port, which was interested in increasing its cargo capabilities.
Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado
This Colorado base is the headquarters of Space Command, the nerve center of the United States Air Force Satellite and Missile Defense Systems. As communications move increasingly to the skies, the need for office space at Peterson Space Force Base was growing exponentially. Renuart & Larkin worked on a master plan to free up the necessary land for expansion by building 1.5 million square feet of new office buildings on the existing golf course land and building a new course off the base to a nearby location.
2016 Olympic Course, Rio de Janiero
The 2016 Olympic golf course in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was designed and built by Architect Gil Hanse, winner of an international competition in which he partnered with the Larkin Group as Sustainability Managers. The Larkin Group’s primary responsibility was to present the sustainability plan to the Olympic jury that chose who would ultimately design and build the course. Vineyard Golf Club, Massachusetts
The Vineyard Golf Club is one of the few 100% organic golf courses in America. This forward-looking approach to the agronomy of golf makes the VGC stand out among its peers. Owen Larkin was the Managing Partner of the team that designed and built the Vineyard Golf Club. The course winds through 235 acres of naturally rolling land and blends seamlessly within the bucolic setting of Martha’s Vineyard, an island off the coast of Massachusetts.
